Automotive components · Dedicated transport · Time-critical delivery
Late in the evening, our team received an urgent request from an automotive supplier in Germany. A shipment of production-critical components had to reach a manufacturing facility in the Netherlands before the start of the morning production shift. The original transport plan had fallen through, leaving only a few hours to find an alternative solution.
THE CHALLENGE
A FEW HOURS. NO ROOM FOR DELAYS
The request reached VAYAX at 22:07.
The cargo was ready for immediate collection, but the delivery deadline was fixed. If the components did not arrive the following morning, the customer risked disruption to the planned production schedule.
The solution required immediate vehicle availability, direct transport and continuous coordination throughout the night.
THE SOLUTION
8 MINUTES
TO GET MOVING
Our operations team immediately searched for a suitable vehicle positioned close to the collection point.
At 22:15, just eight minutes after receiving the request, a dedicated vehicle was confirmed.
The driver proceeded directly to the supplier, collected the cargo at 23:06, and departed for the Netherlands.
With no consolidation, terminal handling or additional loading points, the shipment travelled directly from supplier to destination.
Throughout the night, our team monitored the transport and kept the customer informed about its progress.
THE RESULT
DELIVERED BEFORE PRODUCTION STARTED
At 06:13, the vehicle arrived at the destination in the Netherlands and the shipment was delivered within the required delivery window.
From the initial request to final delivery, the entire operation took just over 8 hours, helping the customer keep the planned production schedule on track.
